April 2014: Daring base jumpers Fred Fugen and Vince Reffet have leapt into the Guinness World Record Books, by plunging from the 828-metre spire of the Burj Khalifa. The Soul Flyers World Champions, with the support of Skydive Dubai, won the title for the Highest Base Jump from the Tallest Building after leaping from a specially-constructed 3-by-1 metre platform. This was the second Guinness World Record to be broken within a month after Skydive Dubai helped Ernesto Gainza earn the title for the smallest parachute jump.
